​Weessies’ ongoing painting practice explores the intersection of the eerie, the absurd, and the banal. His work frequently delves into dystopian visions and speculative depictions of alternate landscapes. During this residency he is developing a new series that centers around one or more of these imagined landscapes. Still in progress, the work continues his exploration of unsettling and uncanny worlds, expanding on themes that define his practice.
